Jerry Yang came to Shenzhen Semi-Final as one of the UK stage winners. His project, the NeedleBay is a solution for insulin infusion. His target market is fast-growing suppliers of medical apparatus and instruments for diabetes. He is getting funding from the Shenzhen government and settling down in Shenzhen Competition Incubator.

Adam Place went all the way to Shenzhen semi-final and collaborated with JD.com, one of the largest B2C online retailers in China. Through this competition, he invented a musical instrument: an electronic ball named The AlphaSphere. By touching different parts of the AlphaSphere, it triggers various soundtracks. The AlphaSphere had its first showing at the MIDI music festival where it attracted considerable attention from investors. He has recently finalized manufacturing for his first production line in China.
